Privacy Policy

At AdvisorTeam Incorporated and at NCS Pearson, Inc., we recognize and respect the importance of maintaining the privacy of our customers who are taking the CISS survey. We have established the following Privacy Policy, which is applicable to this Web site only, to describe why we gather personal information, what information we collect, how we collect it, what we use the information for and how you can instruct us if you prefer to limit the use of that information.

Note: You should be 15 years or older to use the Campbell Interest and Skill Survey (CISS).

Why do we gather information?

Through this Web site, AdvisorTeam Incorporated and NCS Pearson (hereinafter refered to as the "Companies") offer the KTS-II and the CISS survey. After customers take the survey, the Companies provide customers with a Career Temperament report and a CISS test report and a Career Planner. The CISS report and Career Planner are tools for individuals that are seeking career planning information. The CISS report and Career Planner are most appropriate for individuals at least 15 years old who are interested in occupations that require a college or professional degree. The survey has 320 multiple-choice items (200 interest and 120 skill items). It takes approximately 25-40 minutes to complete. By registering at the Companies' site and paying the registration fee you will be permitted to take the survey, examine the results, and obtain career-planning information from our Web site.

What information do we gather?

When you enter our Web site, we ask that you register by filling out a registration form. The registration form collects your first and last name, email address, and billing information (credit card number, expiration date and billing address). Once you have registered, the Companies will send you a computer generated username and password. We recommend that you treat the username and password as confidential information and NOT share them with anyone. In addition, any information you provide while taking the survey is collected even if you do not complete all 320 questions. Registered users do not have to complete the CISS survey in one session. Unfinished surveys will remain available for one hundred and eighty (180) days. Registered user will need to complete the KTS-II in one sitting. Completed surveys and results will be available online for thirty (30) days. After thirty (30) days, we delete the survey results and the associated report. For billing purposes, we maintain the information collected during registration (first and last name, credit card number, expiration date and billing address).

Cookies

A "cookie" is a small file stored on your computer by a Web site which gives you a numeric user ID and stores certain information about your activity on the site. We do not use cookies.

How we use information.

We use the information we collect from you to process your survey results and provide a report about your survey results and related information to you. However, we do not make your names or email addresses available to third parties (except for subsidiaries, subcontractors or agencies acting on our behalf in compliance with this Privacy Policy).

Links

The Companies want you to be aware that when you click on links that take you to third-party Web sites, you will be subject to the third parties' privacy policies, not ours. While we support the protection of privacy on the Internet, we cannot be responsible for the actions of third parties. We encourage you to read the posted privacy statement and user terms and conditions whenever interacting with, and prior to providing any personal information to, any other Web site.

Your Security

Our Web site encrypts information that you submit, including your credit card number, prior to transmission over the Internet using secure socket layer (SSL) encryption technology. This technology works best when the site is viewed using the Microsoft® Internet Explorer or Netscape Navigator® internet browsers.

However, no transmission of data over the Internet or any other public network can be guaranteed to be 100% secure. Although we make reasonable efforts to safeguard your personal information once we receive it, we cannot warrant the security of information you transmit to us.

Your Consent and Changes to this Policy

Subject to the above provisions, by using our Web site, you consent to the collection and use of information by us and the terms of this Privacy Policy. We may change our Privacy Policy from time to time and we will post those changes so that you are always aware of what information we collect, how we use it, and under what circumstances we may disclose it.
